Q-10 UV-Vis detector PDF  | Print |

The model Q-10 HPLC Fluorescence detector provides the sensitivity and the specificity of fluorescence detection at a price consistent with most low cost UV detectors. Sensitivity is enhanced in the Q-10 by the new analytical flowcell that employs a unique excitation and emission geometry.

The Q-10 can be configured with a choice of lamps covering the UV and Visible regions of the spectrum. Choices include

Deuterium (at an additional cost with a recommended expanded range photomultiplier), 254nm, 280nm, and 365nm Hg lamps, and a W lamp for the visible spectrum up to 870nm. The user may select, in addition to the lamps, a standard instrument which will employ all the lamps with the exception of the Deuterium with a standard Photomultiplier (PMT) or the extended range PMT.
Excitation and emission filters are not included in the base price of the instrument and must be selected on the basis of the application requirements.

The Q-10 has a number of outstanding features surpassing all other filter fluorescence instruments including built in diagnostics, rise time controls, zero offset, autozero, automatic gain control (high voltage) and with the D2 or Tungsten versions the ability to shut lamp energy off for reading chemo- and Bio-luminescence.

• Complete UV-VIS operation from 195nm to 800nm.
• Digital read-out of absorbance and wavelength.
• Double beam optics (Reference and Sample Paths).
• Analog outputs for absorbance and wavelength available at
• All wettable components are constructed of PEEK, Teflon, Tefzel, and quartz, making the detector totally compatible.
• Absorbance and wavelength remote control available via with biochemical systems; stainless steel is an option with rear connector contact closures. no difference in price.
• Scrolling selection of wavelength.
• Flowcells are also available for prep and microbore in• An analytical flowcell is standard and included in the PEEK or Stainles Steel construction. instrument price. Stainless Steel option is also available.
• Eight absorbance ranges via scrolling up and down controls.
• Sensitivity levels available for over 95% of all applications.
The Q-10 can replace your current UV-VIS detector at a much lower cost than your original purchase price. If your needs call for a quality variable wavelength detector designed to offer an alternative to your aging detector, without unnecessary bells and whistles, then the Q-10 is your obvious choice.
